The best gear and gadgets from CES Unveiled 2026

CES 2026 is underway, but we got to see some of the new products before they hit the show floor. Here’s the best of what we saw at CES Unveiled.

The annual CES show is preceded by an opening event known as CES Unveiled. A warm-up to CES itself, it gives exhibitors and attendees a chance to talk about upcoming product releases and launches.

AppleInsider was given access to the event on Sunday at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Here’s some of the highlights from that pre-show event.

Pebble

One of the earliest smartwatch producers, Pebble has returned with a brace of products to the show. This included the Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2 introduced back in March 2025, as well as two new recently-launched items.

This included the revived Pebble Round 2 with its circular 1.3-inch color e-paper display and a minimal bezel compared to the original. It’s a very thin smartwatch with weeks of battery life, while still offering some typical features like step tracking.

The Pebble Index 01 is its take on the smart ring concept, as a voice recorder worn on your finger. It’s a button on a band, which sends recordings over to your nearby iPhone for safe keeping and processing.

Much like the smartwatches, battery life is claimed to be extremely good, with it lasting for potentially two years on a single charge.

Withings

The Withings Body Scan 2 is the latest smart scale from the company, but it is claimed to be more than just a smart scale. It tracks over 60 biomarkers every time you stand on it and complete a scan.

Each scan takes about 90 seconds, and covers everything from your weight and BMI to checking how much muscle you have. All this data is then tracked in the Withings app, which can also be brought over to Apple’s Health app.

There are new metrics this time around, including metabolic information and hypertension alerts, and blood oxygen monitoring.

The design is also great, combining tempered glass with a full-color display, as well as a retractable stand.

Xthings

Xthings has gone all-in with Matter in its new security device lineup. That includes a trio of smart locks that all have Matter support.

The first is the Ultraloq Bolt Mission that was shown last year, but is now preparing to ship. The Ultraloq Bolt Sense provides a built-in palm scanner, and the Ultraloq Latch 7 Pro is designed for latch-style doors.

These not only support Matter, but also support the Matter Open Standard for contactless entry.

Xthings also showed off a camera, which will work over PoE.

Roborock

Roborock introduced more robot cleaners at CES, with the new Q Revo as well as a new iteration of its flagship models, in two versions.

There’s one with a spinning mop, as well as another with a Sonic Mop. This latter one has an additional vibration, which is faster and stronger than in previous iterations.

A robotic vacuum and its charging dock are displayed on a red tablecloth, with a chair in the background.

An additional pad can jut out to the side to clean up right against the wall, similar to the previous spinning brush.

The Rock Dock has a new two-tone silver look to the plastic, but inside it uses hotter water for cleaning the returning robots.

Hyper

Dock maker Hyper has a new external storage solution for your Mac that works over USB 4 instead of Thunderbolt. The change means you get 80 gigabits per second of throughput to the storage you put inside of it.

While it looks great, it’s also very modular, as in it will work with many different types of NVMe media on the market. If you have a really high-end NVMe drive that has higher power requirements, there are two USB ports built in, so you can add an external power source to it.

It’s built using an aluminum enclosure with a tool-free design, as well as a rubber silicone cover to protect your storage from drops and other issues.

Lutron

Lutron brought along an expansion to its Caseta Shades lineup, with the new addition being wooden smart blinds. They appear like your typical slat shades made from wood, but the shades are smart enough to actually follow the sun.

Once installed, you provide the shades’ orientation, and they will automatically adjust during the day to match the sun’s position in the sky. It runs off a battery, so no trailing wires, and while it works with the Pico remote, it will also integrate with Apple Home.

You can now control wooden shades with Siri if you really want.

SwitchBot

SwitchBot showed off its new series of Lock Vision locks, with one version including facial recognition. Similar to Face ID, it paints 20,000 infrared dots on your face to authenticate you.

A Pro version of the lock will also include a palm scanner, giving you more options to gain entry. There’s also Apple Home support for further control.

Govee

Govee had a few products on show, including their best-known range of lights. However, the most interesting thing there was the Nugget Ice Maker Pro.

It fixes quite a few problems with ice makers, such as increasing the capacity for where the ice goes and the water reservoir. It’s also quieter, including when the ice tumbles down, with it also having a magnetic ice scoop ready for use on the side.

One nice effect is that there’s a white light that comes up as you open the door, so you can see inside more easily.

The only real downside to this model is a lack of Matter integration, which the previous version did have.

On the lighting side, there is the new Floor Lamp that has better color representation, which is better seen in person than on a screen. Govee’s also using its new Lumi Bend Plus technology for better gradients.

Belkin

Lastly, Belkin demonstrated its new customizable screen protector system. This is a concept that has been around for a while, but is new to Belkin.

In short, you go to Belkin’s website and design a screen protector, complete with additional text, logos, or other embellishments. Belkin then uses a laser to etch those changes onto the screen protector.

The effect is that your engraved elements are visible when your device’s screen is off, but they disappear when the screen turns on and light passes through.

A variety of Belkin electronic accessories and packaging displayed on a table, including chargers, cables, adapters, cases, and screen protectors, with some items on raised platforms.

A Belkin assortment of accessories

Belkin’s new UltraCharge Pro Power Bank 10K with Magnetic Ring supports Qi2.2 wireless charging, with up to 25W supported wirelessly, 30W over USB-C. It has a built-in kicksstand and an LCD on the side to show the battery percentage.

The really neat thing is the secondary magnetic ring on the back for attaching other devices, such as a MagSafe wallet.

Belkin also showed off a new travel charger with Qi2.2 support. It has the usual iPhone MagSafe charging puck, but can also fit one on the back for the Apple Watch too.
