Rumors suggest Apple could release an updated Apple Vision Pro at any point, and the FCC has once again shared details about an upcoming product that point to an impending announcement.
The FCC is on a roll in revealing details Apple would like to keep hidden. It shared confidential schematics of the iPhone 16e, then later it shared model numbers of upcoming iPad Pro and MacBook Pro models.
Now, according to a report from MacRumors, the FCC has shared a model number for an Apple “Head Mounted Device” with the model number A3416. The current Apple Vision Pro model number is A2117.
There are no product details in the filing. The uploaded documents are for transmission tests, SAR test reports, and WLAN test reports.
Rumors have suggested Apple won’t be releasing a full revision to the Apple Vision Pro, but may announce a spec bump. It currently ships with the M2 processor and could be upgraded to the M5.
Signs are pointing to a potential October or November event. The M5 could be revealed in select Macs and iPad models, but there’s a chance the Apple Vision Pro update could get revealed as well.
There’s also a chance the M5 version of Apple Vision Pro won’t be announced until the spring of 2026. October is already here, so if an Apple Event is coming, it will likely be announced soon.
