Apple’s worldwide celebration of its 50th anniversary continued with a Today at Apple special in South Korea, hosted by boy band Cortis.
Following both the Alicia Keys concert in New York and Chris Lee in China, Apple’s celebrations changed gear to offer a rather different musical performance in South Korea. Instead of solely a concert, South Korean boy band Cortis presented a special Today at Apple talk at Apple Myeongdong in Seoul.
In translation, Apple’s South Korea site said that the Cortis group were to talk about making their smash-hit chart success.
“From the behind-the-scenes story of the debut album to the unique art view that expands the boundaries of K-pop,” said the site, “you can listen to the creative process that uses Apple products to record ideas and develop them into music and visuals.”
Playing off how the name Cortis comes from “Color Outside the Lines,” Apple concluded that the talk was to provide “fresh stimulation from their steps that are not trapped in the frame.”
It was a one-off Today at Apple special in what at launch in 2022 was Apple’s largest store in Seoul. Reportedly the free session was booked out rapidly and social media posts show standing room only at the store.
